Miller Lite Cancels Leap Day Free Beer Giveaway After Molson Coors Shooting

Miller Lite and Molson Coors have cancelled their Leap Day free beer giveaway after a shooting at the Molson Coors corporate campus in Milwaukee. Six people were killed in the shooting yesterday, including the gunman who was identified as "an active brewery employee."

The company was offering to reimburse purchases of 24-packs of Miller Lite beer on Saturday, February 29 but posts promoting the giveaway have since been deleted from the Miller Lite and Molson Coors social media accounts. Molson Coors tweeted that "given the recent news in our hometown, we will not be proceeding with the promotion."
