A Hazardous Weather Outlook and Flash Flood Watch are in effect for Sussex County as Tropical Storm Isaias makes its way up the east coast. According to the National Weather Service, the storm is currently off the northeast Florida coast and is expected to strengthen into a Category 1 hurricane as it makes its way to the Carolinas.
It's set to hit our area Tuesday afternoon with heavy rainfall of up to 6+ inches, high winds, and possible flooding.
The Flash Flood Warning is in effect through Tuesday night for parts of Delaware. northeast Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including Sussex County. Meanwhile the Hazardous Weather Outlook is in effect for northern New Jersey, east central Pennsylvania, northeast Pennsylvania and southeast Pennsylvania.
