Man Airlifted to Hospital After Driving Car Off Retaining Wall In Vernon

A man was airlifted to a Bergen County hospital Saturday morning after driving off a retaining wall in Vernon. According to the Sussex Daily Voice, the 55-year-old went over a wall at the Valley Mason Supply Company on Vernon Crossing Road and became trapped in his car.

He was allegedly stuck there for 30 minutes before being airlifted to Hackensack University Medical Center with a possible head injury.

The cause of the crash is under investigation but it is reportedly believed the accident was caused by driver error.
