The Newton Pool is set to reopen after more than a year of renovations. According to the New Jersey Herald, the pool will open Saturday and for the first week it will be available only to town residents. It will open to the general public the following week.
Officials reportedly plan to keep the facility open through September and the pool will have three daily sessions available:
- 9am to 11am is open to those 55 and up
- Noon to 3pm is open to all age groups
- 4pm to 7 pm is open to all age groups
Reservations reportedly must be made, either through the town’s Recreation Department or via their Facebook page. Admission is free for Newton residents while non-residents have to pay $5 daily fee ($3 for seniors).
Officials allegedly aren't opening the kiddie pool this year so that the extra space can be used to help maintain social distancing.
