Vernon Man Gets 3 Years for Harassing Farmers After Denied Sex with Animals

A Vernon man has been sentenced to 3 years in prison for harassing local farmers after they refused to let him have a sexual relationship with their horses or cows. According to the New Jersey Herald, Richard Decker admitted to putting homemade spikes in the driveways and roads near homes of farmers that rejected his proposition.

The 32-year-old allegedly caused hundreds of dollars in damages to the cars of five people and even went as far as to threaten to beat one man's wife with a wooden stick. After being arrested in October, police searched Decker's home and reportedly found arrows with ignitors on the tip, jars of explosive material, an unregistered .22 caliber gun, and child pornography.

In addition to the jail time Decker was ordered to pay $1,888.67 to the five property owners whose vehicles he damaged.
